Bru & Boegie: Episode 1 – Get da MILK! (2025)

Extremely thrilled to have made a complete point-and-click Bru & Boegie game that was super well received! I wrote some blog posts about it here:

I am currently planning to publish the game on Steam:

Meditation HERO (2025)

I made a little mini-game as part of a larger point-and-click adventure game, and thought it was fun enough to warrant its own mini-release.

DEGEN Adventure (2024)

I was incredibly keen to learn to make my own games, particularly point-and-click adventure games, so I started with Adventure Creator and Unity and made this first little learning experience. It’s a 2-room game, and I’m very proud I managed to get something out that works.

Nifty Smashers (2019)

I was contacted by Ali and Andrew who were planning to launch a new Web3 product. We got permission kindly from Ruan Rothmann to use and build on the Frog Smashers code (which was then open sourced to the public) for commercial purposes with the caveat that we should understandably credit him for the great coding work he did, and we build on top of that, redoing the graphics and quite impressively introducing online multiplayer, which was definitely not the original intention with Frog Smashers, but worked pretty well with the 2D version of Nifty Smashers. Players could fully customise one of 6 Nifty League DEGENs with over (I think) 1000 cosmetic items, mint it for a fee on the blockchain, and immediately start playing with that character in Nifty Smashers. It was impressive backend tech.
The game evolved into 3D the following year or two, and is currently available in early access softlaunch on the Google Play Store, iOS App Store with TestFlight, and Steam for PC.

Frog Smashers (2016)

I wrote a blog about it here: https://www.mikescottanimation.com/frog-smashers/
And a celebration of it here: https://www.mikescottanimation.com/a-celebration-of-frog-smashers/

You can download Frog Smashers for free for PC and Mac here: https://raithza.itch.io/frogsmashers

FROG SMASHERS tells the tale of a simple misunderstanding at a bus stop leading to the downfall of all frog-kind. It’s a competitive local multiplayer game, with super tight controls. Ruan Rothmann asked if I’d like to make a game with him at the Free Lives game jam in Mauritius. The game provided loads of lols to the crew, and has been played all over the world with a lot of people uploading their Frog Smashers vids to YouTube. As of Nov 2019, the game has almost clocked 10,000 downloads.

Here’s a little clip of me talking about Frog Smashers as part of Free Lives‘ ‘Game Jam Island’:

Programming/Design: Ruan Rothmann

Art/Animation: Mike Scott

Additional Art: Ben Rausch & Stuart Coutts

Sound: Jason Sutherland

Yojimbrawl (2016)

During the Free Lives Game Jam in Mauritius I was put onto the team for this 2-player fighting game called ‘Yojimbrawl’, which was a real squeeze to get finished in time.

I did quite a few of the fighting animations, and some level designs, including the forest level at the start of the first vid, and the bridge level in the second vid.
